About Us
CLTC is a private members tennis club situated in a peaceful part of Cambridge. We are (probably) the largest tennis club in the Cambridge area with around 700 members. Despite our size we are a friendly and inclusive club with plenty on offer for everyone, no matter what your age or ability.
Our clubhouse (with licensed bar) is welcoming and comfortable and includes a well stocked Pro Shop, kitchen, showers and changing rooms.
We run a wide range of competitions for all abilities, and our excellent coaching staff run courses all year round for those looking to improve.
The club has a particularly strong Junior section - we were Boys U18 National Champions in 2008 - and this year entered teams in all the Aegon National Club age groups from 8 to 18 years and were highly successful at County level. We run coaching courses for children from age 3 upwards.
In 2008, CLTC was the first club in the East Region to be awarded an LTA Tennis Club Mark as recognition for achieving excellent standards and in the same year we were voted LTA Club of the Year.
At CLTC we play tennis all year round! We have 10 all weather courts (2 with floodlights for evening play) so you can keep playing whatever the weather.
However, life isn't just about the tennis! CLTC has a thriving social scene, you can always find a friendly face in the clubhouse and we organise regular social events from quiz nights through to salsa lessons and Murder Mystery evenings! The club is a great place to meet old friends and make new ones. The highlights of the year are our Mid-Season and Christmas extravaganzas - not to be missed!
