Competitions

There are lots of ways to get involved in competitive tennis at CLTC. We run a number of competitions throughout the year and they are a great way to meet new people and enjoy your tennis.

Club Teams

CLTC has Girl's and Boy's Junior Teams, together with 8 Men's and 6 Ladies' Teams competing against other clubs across the county. We also compete in Mixed and Veterans matches at local and national level. Details of how to get involved, plus fixture and results can be seen on the Teams page.

Club Tournaments

There are a host of closed and open tournaments throughout the season for both Junior and Adult players. In particular, don't forget to enter our Club Championships and Cup Competitions. See the Club Calendar for more information about upcoming events.

Get Together Tournaments

A very popular way to get involved in the Club is to join us in one of our frequent informal Sunday afternoon "Get Together" tournaments for anyone who is not an absolute beginner. The format is mixed doubles (you will be allocated a partner) and you play 8 game "sets", each set being 4 games with and 4 games against you partner. You then get your own individual score for the set - between 8 (hooray!) and 0 (boo!). You and your partner play in a league with 4 or 5 other pairs. The people with the most points go on to a final and there are small prizes for the winners. These tournaments take place every month or so; keep an eye on the Club Calendar and just turn up and play.

Mini-League Singles

CLTC runs a singles Mini-League event throughout the year with promotion and demotion every calendar month. These are mixed Ladies and Men (and some Juniors recommended by the Head Coach) and we currently have around 20 divisions so all abilities have something to play for - including complete beginners. To enter the Mini-League just put your name on the list in the Clubhouse. See the Mini-League page for more details.
